One of the most powerful principles that I learned early in my life is that our words and our thoughts have a HUGE impact on what manifests in our life. If we want a joyous life, we must think joyous thoughts. If we want a life filled with love and relationships, we must think loving thoughts. "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay was a book that changed my life forever. I have read it at least 5 times and each time I read it, I pick up new principles to apply. Your mind is a tool that you get to use any way you wish. When it comes to healing your body, there is incredible power in sending loving messages to your body and letting it know that you have full confidence in its ability to heal. Are Toxic Light Bulbs Worth the Risk??
The new craze in energy efficiency are the CFL's or Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs. They were designed to save the planet by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. According to the Environmental Working Group, replacing 10 incandescent light bulbs with CFL's, you would save $167 per year on your energy bill. But the question is, are they worth the risk?
Maybe I am a little paranoid about what I bring into my home and personal environment, but light bulbs filled with mercury does not sound like a good idea to me. The industry standard for the amount of mercury in each light bulb is 5 milligrams or a small dot of mercury, about the size of a pen tip. Putting that into perspective, it is about 200 times the amount of mercury in a flu vaccine shot.
