Allah Taala has taken the oath of the Ten nights in Surah Fajr. Those Ten nights are the first Ten nights of Zul Hijjah. 

• Hazrat Abdullahb inAbbasRA reports that Rasulullah SAW said“Good deeds performed on other days are not superior to those which performed in the first 10 days of Zul Hijjah”. Sahaba RA asked not even Jihad? He said “ not even Jihad except for that person who goes out putting himself and his wealth in danger and doesn’t return with anything.” { Bukhari}
• HazratHafsaRA reports that Rasulullah SAW used to fast first nine days of Zul-Hijjah. {Abu Dawoud}
• Hazrat Abu Hurairah RA reports that Rasulullah SAW Said,”There are no days more be loved to Allah that he be worshiped in them than the Ten days of Zul Hijjah. The fast of each of these days is equivalent to the fast of one year, whilst standing every night { in prayer}is equivalent to the night of Lailatul Qadr.”{ Tirmizi}
• HazratAyesha RA narrates that Rasulullah SAW said,”There is no day in which Allah Taala set free more souls from the fire of Hell than on the day of Arfa.” { 9th Zul Hijjah}. Shaytan is most humiliated, rejected and infuriated on the day of Arfa. Because of the mercy of Allah Taala.
• Hazrat Abu Qatadah RA narrated that Rasulullah SAW was asked about the fast of the day of Arfa { 9th Zul Hijjah} He said ,” it compensates for the { minor } sins of past and coming year.” Ibn Hajr said “These Ten days are more virtuous because during these Ten days all the Arkan of Islam combined together Tauheed, salah, Zakah, fast and Hajj. Which don’t combine in the rest of the year.
• Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar reports that Rasulullah SAW said,''there are no greater or more beloved days to Almighty Allah for virtuous deeds than these Ten days of Zul Hijjah , therefore increase in reciting La ilaha illallah, Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar.”

Takbeer of Tashreeq:

“Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, La Ilaha Illalahu wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil hamd"

It is wajib upon every adult male and female to recite this Takbeer of Tashreeq after every Fard salah from the Fajr salah of 9th Zul Hijjah till the Asr salah of 13th Zul Hijjah.{ total 23 salah}



Whether praying alone or with Jamat. Man should say in a loud voice and the woman in a soft voice. Imam Bukhari RA said that Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar and Abu Hurairah RA used to go to the market of Madinah from the first of Zul Hijjah and used to recite this Takbeer in a very loud voice so everyone used to follow them. So we should also start reciting this Takbeer from the first of Zul Hijjah.

Note: Umme salamah RA. narrates that Rasulullah SAW said,” when the month of Zul Hijjah commences, those who intend to do Qurbani should not cut their hair nor clip their nails until their Qurbani is done.”May Allah Taala grant us the Taufeeq and ability to grab the opportunity of these sacred and virtuous days of Zul Hijjah and spend it in the Ibadah and fasting as many days as we can, especially on the day of Arfa the 9th of Zul Hijjah. May Almighty Allah accept our Qurbani.
