Spring 2023 e-NEWSLETTER
Your 30,000-ft View
Greetings!

A lot has been happening with SkyAlyne and the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) since our last winter newsletter.

The early spring saw our team hard at work finalizing our bid for the FAcT Program. We're happy to report that on April 28, 2023, our final submission to Canada was made! Just to recap - FAcT is the next-generation training and in-service support program for Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers (ACSOs) and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators (AES Ops).

SkyAlyne's proposal for FAcT was completed nearly five years to the day since the official creation of the SkyAlyne partnerships between CAE and KF Aerospace.

We tackled over 4000 requirements and poured all our hard work into a whopping 25,000-page proposal for FAcT, delivering a comprehensive solution that covers the entire spectrum of services needed to execute the program. Suffice to say, it was a huge collective effort from our team of companies from across Canada.

So what's next? We are waiting for Canada’s review of our proposal. But we are never idle and are already looking ahead to preparing everything we need to hit the ground running when we get Canada’s call. Please stay tuned to all our channels, we’re just getting started!

Best wishes,

Anand visits CAE Head Office
In May, CAE welcomed Minister Anita Indira Anand, MP Emmanuella Lambropoulos and the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) representatives to its Montreal headquarters. The discussion centred around Canada's aerospace industry capabilities, training technology advancements, and its immense job creation potential, with over 4,000 jobs created just by CAE in Montreal alone.

CAE firmly believes that Canada's global success stems from our achievements at home. Our strong Canadian aerospace community, backed by exceptional talent and expertise, positions us to bring the best immersive training and aviation developments to the world.
KF Centre for Excellence Update: The Sweet Sound of a Warbird
You’re going to want to turn the sound on for this one — trust us.

WATCH as the KF Aerospace team takes their WWII-era vintage de Havilland Mosquito for a bit of a stroll down the apron at YLW during a testing session.

No, it didn’t fly... yet! Routine maintenance is being performed at the moment to ensure the aircraft is in 100% airworthy shape. However, keep an eye on the KF Centre for Excellence's social media channels, because the Mosquito won't stay on the ground much longer!
SkyAlyne seeking suppliers
As we wait for word from Canada on our proposal, we're still getting out there in communities across Canada to meet with potential suppliers and partners.

If you are interested in supporting SkyAlyne's solution for FAcT - the first step is to register your company at: skyalyne.ca/suppliers.

Supplier opportunities with SkyAlyne are active in many different areas, from construction and trades to IT services, operational equipment, transportation, site services and much more.
