Unique Opportunity!
The treasured trio who have so successfully run Treasures, our outstanding gift shop, have announced their imminent "retirement." They are looking for women from within our congregation to take over from them and will act as mentors to assure a smooth transition. If you have retail expertise, a flair for display, a keen eye for the beautiful and distinctive, we'd like to hear from you. Good organizational, managerial and numbers skills as well as familiarity with Excel or other spreadsheet programs are also helpful. Treasures is a vital component in WoTRS fundraising efforts and serves an important function in congregational life. If you're interested in learning more about this exciting volunteer opportunity, please
contact Co-presidents Florence Kittover, email/ 703-938-8746 or Nancy Bleeker, email/ 703-847-5735.

Rabbis and poets of the Middle Ages used sapphires as a metaphor to convey the clarity of carefully selected words and the beauty of the written page. This month, we take a docent-led tour of Words Like Sapphires: 100 Years of Hebraica at the Library of Congress, truly a gem of an exhibition.
We'll then move on for another docent-led tour that focuses on the treasures of the Music Division. Lunch will be at the Capitol Visitor Center Restaurant, accessible via tunnel from the Library, passing through security on the way.
