Beyond Medically Managed Glaucoma
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly - This course will discuss the treatment options beyond medical therapy for glaucoma patients. Topics will include laser procedures, MIGS and traditional trabeculectomy. This course will Examine ocular pharmaceutical drug delivery and application in various ocular disease conditions while reviewing basic pharmacokinetics and mechanism of action in ophthalmic pharmacology. This course reviews imaging basics while investigating tonometry novel technologies and their clinical relevance, among others. The lecture will also discussion potential advantages and controversies of artificial intelligence (AI) in ocular disease management. (89194-GO, 2 hours)

You're Seeing 20/20 - What's Wrong? The Psychology of Behind Vision Improvement in Keratoconus Patients?
This course is designed to educate optometric physicians on a guideline for how to address patients after they have recently received optical correction. This course includes a review of keratoconus and treatment options. It will proceed to go into the psychology ramifications like depression, anxiety, and other mental related issues that many keratoconic patients’ experience. The course also reviews treatment options like higher order aberration corrections, therapy, and surgical options. In conclusion, the course allows optometrists another understanding of what keratoconus patients may experience outside of correction their vision to 20/20. (89593-TD, 1 hour)
