FISH Mission Trip Needs Air Mattresses!
The FISH High School Mission Trip is requesting air mattresses! For a portion of their journey, they will be staying over at a Presbyterian church in Indianapolis, where they will need air mattresses to sleep on. If you have a working air mattress that will not deflate in the middle of the night and would like to lend it to this mission trip, you can bring it to the Church office. We will be accepting mattresses until July 12th or until we have enough. Please consider lending your air mattress to a worthy cause!

Summer Sing! Pop-up Choir! Y’all Come!
Whatever name you give it, while our Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir are on hiatus for the summer, we will have three Sundays when anyone who likes to sing is invited to come be a part of a choir for worship that day. We will meet at 9am in the Choir Room (Room 200, up on the 2nd floor right next to the elevator) and learn a simple piece of music to present in worship that day. Please talk with Heike if you have any questions!
Mark your calendars for 9:00 am and plan to join us in making a joyful noise to the Lord!

Wandering Women Hike June 15 at Krislund
On Saturday, June 15, Sharon Manno and Margaret VanFossan will be leading the Wandering Women walk at Camp Krislund. The walk will cover about 2 miles, mostly level, on trails through the woods as well as on a dirt road. We’ll stop by several locations on the camp property, including the recreation building, pool, adventure park, some overnight lodges, cabins, and more.
Participants may drive to the camp directly or meet at the church to carpool. If carpooling, please be at SCPC by 8:30 am. The drive will take approximately 35-40 minutes. If driving directly, starting at the church, drive to Nittany Mall; when the road splits, with the mall in the center, take the right, East College Ave, (26N) towards Pleasant Gap, continue past Hublersburg and on to Lamar. About 6 miles beyond the mall, route 26N turns to the left. At that location take route 64, which continues straight ahead. Continue for about 11 miles and turn right onto route 445. Continue on 445, which is a very twisty road, for about four miles. Turn right into the camp property when you see the sign for Krislund Camp and Conference Center. Follow the dirt road for about one mile and meet at the camp office on your left.
There are alternate routes, if you’re following GPS. The address for the camp is 189 Krislund Drive, Madisonburg, PA 16852. We may take lunches to eat there outside, if weather allows. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon at 814-466-6098 or 814-571-4059. Be aware that cell phone service at the Camp is intermittent.
Dress for the weather, bring water, and consider sunscreen and/or bug/tick spray.
We usually walk in light rain, but will cancel if the weather is stormy. Look for any cancellation information due to weather conditions on SCPC Facebook and via e-mail.
The July Wandering Women Walk will take place on July 20th at Whipple Dam, led by Kim Phillips. Please watch the Weekly Update and Sunday bulletins for more information.
