Dear SFX Families,
As we close out the month of August I want to take a moment to reflect on one of the core values that guides our Jesuit education: being open to growth.
This, as you may know, is one of our five student learning expectations (SLE's). This principle is not just about academic development, but about nurturing a spirit of curiosity, resilience, and compassion in our students.
At our school, we strive to create an environment where every student feels encouraged to explore their potential, take on challenges, and grow in both knowledge and character. We believe that growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones, embrace new experiences, and learn from both successes and setbacks.
I thank you for your partnership in fostering this growth mindset at home as well. Continue to encourage your children to try new things, to persevere when faced with difficulties, and to reflect on their experiences so far in the early portion of our school year. By working together, we can help our students develop into confident, thoughtful, and compassionate difference-makers who are ready to make a positive impact on the world.
Thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Let us continue to support one another as we guide our students on this journey of growth.
Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend, everyone.
Build it up.
Peace,
Ryan Watson
