News & Events

Summer Math & Reading

This summer, we ask all students to help prevent the summer slide by reading and practicing their math skills. Research tells us that students who begin school after a summer of reading and math review, begin the year stronger and make immediate gains. Click here to see the assignments by grade level.

Additional Math Opportunity

If you are looking for math enrichment this summer, check out the Noetic Challenge Math Online program. The curriculum includes non-routine problems that encourage critical thinking and promote a deep understanding of math. We use Noetic for our Math Team at SFX and students love the challenges it presents!

SFX Staff Update

We are excited to share the news with you that Mrs. Beth Scarbrough will be the PSB teacher in the 24-25 school year. Mrs. Staci Drake is looking forward to her new role as the aide for Junior High.

School Supplies

This year we've partnered with 1st Day School Supplies again to help make your back to school shopping easy.

The online store is open. All you have to do is select your student's grade level for next year, purchase the kit and the supplies will be ready for your student in their classroom on the first day of school. Bonus! For each kit sold, SFX will receive a $5 donation.

If you prefer to go shopping on your own, you're more than welcome to do that too. You can download the supply lists here.

Be a Family for Others! There's an option to donate a kit. This year we're requesting donations for the following grades:

  • Kinder: 1 Boy
  • 3rd Grade (2)
  • 4th Grade (2)
  • 6th Grade (3)
  • 7th Grade (1)
  • 8th Grade (1)

We greatly appreciate your generosity!

Save the Date!

On Sunday, August 4th we'd like invite all SFX families to join us for a Welcome Back Family Mass at 9:00 am in the Church. Following Mass, families are welcome to stop by campus for coffee, donuts and milk. Students will have a chance to briefly meet their teacher and see their classroom.

Save the Date! 2025 Holy Week in Barcelona - In the Footsteps of St. Ignatius

Join Fr. Bob and a small group of St. Francis school families and parishioners for a Holy Week pilgrimage to Barcelona April 10-18, 2025. Detailed trip information, prices, and registration will be available in a few weeks. Space is limited and our last trip sold out quickly, so save the date and be on the lookout for the registration packet.
