U.S. Departments of Treasury, Health and Human Services, Interior, and the Executive Office of the President Release Report on Reducing Administrative Burden of Tribal Grant Recipients

The U.S. Department of the Treasury alongside the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the U.S. Department of the Interior, and the Executive Office of the President released a report detailing findings from its Tribal CX Pilot for Post-Award Reporting project. The report provides an in-depth overview of the impact of piloted solutions to assist with grant reporting compliance and future focus areas to support agencies as they work toward effective policy for the economic growth of Tribal Nations. A copy of the Tribal CX Pilot for Post-Award Reporting report can be found here.

Congressional Corner

Congress is out this month for the August Recess. The Senate Appropriation Committee has now passed eleven of twelve spending bills, including Interior and Labor-H. The remaining Senate spending bill is for Homeland Security, which must wait until Congress returns on September 9th.

NIHB will continue advancing our advocacy efforts regarding moving Contract Support Costs and 105(l) Lease Payments to mandatory appropriations. Visit our advocacy resource page for more information and to see how you can get involved!

There are no hearings scheduled for the rest of August.
