A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT DEBBY CANTER
"I feel like in a world where we all try to figure out our place and our purpose here, your passions are one of your most obvious guides."
- Nick Woodman

The DKG International Convention in New Orleans did not disappoint! I was privileged to take part in the executive board meeting and happy to serve as a floor page during the general sessions. I always learn more about our Society every time I attend a conference or convention and this one was no different. There were 120 proposed amendments to the DKG Constitution, and we didn’t quite make it through half of them. It was great to see so many members voice their opinions and show just how passionate they are about DKG. Stay tuned for the changes voted by the membership in attendance and how it relates to the Bylaws of OSO.

Beta Upsilon Chapter created the Summer Social Series to allow sisters to visit local destinations and connect with each other outside of meetings. Our first event was a shared meal at Do Good Restaurant in Osgood. The tips from the meal benefit a local cause each month. The second event was a tour of the One Room Schoolhouse of local author Michelle Houts who is seated in the picture on the right. We toured the restored schoolhouse, learned the history of the school, and also learned the writing and editing process for children's books. Michelle offers presentations to schools, and we appreciate her willingness to share with us!
