Today there is a great assault on our faith, an attempt to destroy our unwavering trust in Jesus. How do we handle it? How do we counteract it? How do we continue to grow in belief and trust in Him? This Sunday we discuss the marriage of faith and love in scripture and see how these two fit together and become the answer to this question!

NO YOUTH THIS SUNDAY

OneCamp starts this Sunday, June 29!

If your student signed up for transportation the bus will be loaded at the Riverstone parking lot from 12:45-1:15 THIS Sunday and will depart at 1:30 sharp!! Each student is allowed one suitcase, a pillow and a sleeping bag. Make sure everything is labeled with your student's name.

As a body we ask that you come alongside our students by praying for them. Pray that God would begin stirring their hearts and that they would have ears wide open to hear what it is He desires to do in each of them. We are praying that One Camp will be a launching point for our youth, leading them to their Real Life!

Day at the Lake July 11

This is an Event your student will not want to miss! Day at the Lake is taking place at Allatoona Landing (24 Allatoona Landing Road, Cartersville, Georgia 30120). Middle School will be on the lake from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and the cost is $10. Lunch is not provided, so be sure to pack your Middle School student a lunch! High School will arrive at 3:00 pm and will be camping out, the cost is $15. We will provide dinner. High School Students need to bring a tent, towel, toiletries, a pillow and sleeping bag, etc. Pick-up your high school student by 10:00 am on July 12. Sign-up at Vintage242.com.

Promotion Sunday July 13

Rising 6th Grade Students of Vintagehor

It's that time of year when we celebrate rising 6th graders moving from 5th grade to Middle School. We are excited about this new season in their lives and look forward to honoring them on Sunday, July 13th. After the service Timothy would like to meet the 6th graders and their parents for lunch from 1 - 2 PM at LaParilla. They are invited to Youth that evening from 5:00 - 6:30. This primarily effects students moving from preschool to Kindergarten, students in 2nd grade moving to 3rd, and 5th grade students will officially leave the Village and be invited to Vintage Youth on Sunday Nights. LEAD INFANT ROOM TEACHER / 9:00 SERVICE beginning in JULY NEEDED

THIS IS A PAID POSITION

The qualifications are:

*Applicant must be over 18 years old

*Comfortable around infants - 18 months

*Complete a background check

*Commit to 1 year

*Available to work most Sundays at the 9:00 service, arriving 20 minutes prior to service.

The applicant must be responsible, personable and have a love for Jesus that they can share with the littlest in the Vintage Village.

Lost and Found

Are you missing anything? We have dishes from previous gatherings and various clothing and miscellaneous items that we will donate if they have not been claimed by June 30. Please stop by the kitchen on Sunday to see if anything belongs to you!

Pick-up Truck Needed

Jim and Shelley Adcock need to borrow a pick-up truck July 10-13. They have to move Shelbi from one apartment to another this summer and they have furniture here that needs to go to Statesboro. If you have a truck available that they can use you can either email them at jimshelley1@comcast.net or call 404.754.6518.

Vintage Prayer Ministry

Do you have a prayer request? We have a group of people who consider it a privilege to pray for you and your loved ones. Send over your prayer requests and we will make sure people are praying for your need! We've made GREAT progress with our new software program! If you have not been added to our new directory, please email michelle@vintage242.com with your name, address, email, phone numbers and birthday (optional) to be included in our updated system. This is IMPORTANT for our online giving communications and church wide communications.

With all the emphasis on stretching a dollar these days, have you thought about how to make your giving dollars go further? One way some V242 folks have done this is to give appreciated stock or mutual fund gifts directly to V242. This creative strategy enables them to pay less tax, give more, improve their personal cash flow, and act like a wise financial steward.
