VMRC hosted its annual Spanish Purchase Of Service Meeting on April 18, 2024. Mom Teresita Rogel Beltran advocated for her daughter by sharing with Leinani Walter, Executive Director, that Jasmin Ramirez did not have her own wheelchair and that it was hard for her to be transported. VMRC worked quickly to support Jasmin in getting an OT/PT assessment, and in the meantime, VMRC would acquire a loaner chair—in pink!! 

Please join the Office of Clients’ Rights Advocacy for an Open House on May 16, 2024, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM at 1321 I Street, Suite C, Modesto, CA 95354. Come learn about all the Office of Clients’ Rights Advocacy has to offer and meet their staff serving clients of Valley Mountain Regional Center. There will be prizes and giveaways happening all morning. A light breakfast and coffee will also be provided.

On April 19^th, VMRC’s Quality Assurance team and VMRC’s Emergency Response and Safety Coordinator, Aaron McDonald; in partnership with Community Care Licensing, hosted Emergency Preparedness training for residential service providers.

Another opportunity is available for residential , SLS and Day Program providers to receive high quality training in the area of emergency preparedness on May 22^nd from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
