Hello Everyone,
The month of May flew by and we are looking toward June. The events and activities our students participated in during the month of May were great fun.
Special Olympics was a beautiful day and as you can see by the pictures, there were lots of smiles.
The Prom was another huge success. The Vanguard School staff do a phenomenal job decorating the location for the Prom and ensuring our students make memories during this very special senior event. This year the theme was ‘Super Heroes’. Everyone came dressed to the nines’ whether it was a tuxedo, gown and even super hero garb! Clearly, a wonderful time was had by all.
Now, we turn to June. The rites of passage that occur every year will once again occur here at VFES. Graduation for our seniors is Thursday June 6th starting at 6:30pm. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held on the outdoor patio in front of the Mierley Building. June also is the month for outdoor and indoor activities such as Field Days, Transition Ceremonies and Awards Ceremonies. We are excited for all our students and staff to wrap up another successful school year and enjoy the summer days ahead.
