Splashing Into Summer at SOAR365!

We’ve kicked off summer in a BIG way at SOAR365! We celebrated the start of another exciting Summer Camp season, kicked off full days of adventure in our Youth and Adult Day Support programs, and welcomed so many fantastic volunteers to our team!

If you’d like to get involved in the upcoming weeks, join us for our July Summer Series event! You can greet guests, set up the event, or manage game stations and activities. Volunteers are also needed to assist with Summer Camp check-in, support our Youth Services Summer Session or join us at one of our three Adult Day Support locations as an ongoing volunteer.

Ada Long Uses Photography to Capture Impactful Moments at Summer Camp

A rising senior at The Steward School, Ada Long has joined us at Summer Camp to capture memories and impactful photos of our campers, staff, and families!

"I've really enjoyed volunteering with SOAR365. It's been an educational and fun experience all around. I got to take photos of campers checking in, and the pure joy that both counselors and campers radiated was so lovely,” said Ada. “I don't know anywhere else where that kind of joy lives. I've captured a lot of that through my camera, which has been so fun!”

SOAR365 staff members quickly saw the impact of having Ada join us to capture special moments. “Ada immediately jumped in to start taking photos and created a warm, welcoming space for our participants as they arrived to Camp. She has such a positive attitude and an incredible eye for photography!” said Matt Hulcher, Director of Summer Camp and Respite Services. Thank you so much for bringing your spirit and skills to SOAR365, Ada!

Lisa Meade Brings Her Nursing Expertise to SOAR365 by Volunteering at Camp Baker

Summer at SOAR365's Camp Baker is all about fun, adventure, and making memories. Each Sunday, participants and their families make their way into camp to start a fresh week of excitement and learning. This summer, we've utilized qualified medical volunteers to help us make that process even smoother. These volunteers are working alongside our RN to help with medication verification, counting medications, and logging information on intake forms.

"Volunteering at camp was an amazing experience. I would tell other medical professionals to come share your heart and receive a smile!” said Lisa Meade, RN.

We're recruiting volunteers to join us for the remainder of summer - please spread the word! Medical volunteers must be an LPN, RN, M.D., Pharmacist, or possess a valid medication administration certification. Current licenses are required.
