Happy Spring - The Truck Is Back!

Spring has arrived, and The Truck has returned.

This new mobile pantry vehicle is a significant step forward in our efforts to ensure a dignified experience for all our guests.

We are excited for the future of our mobile pantry program as The Truck will:

  • Further our goal of providing a dignified experience for all our guests.
  • Provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
  • Offer an independent shopping experience.
  • Help reduce stigma around food pantries.
  • Enable volunteers to have more positive interactions with guests, free from policing

The Truck will be available at all mobile sites by the end of the month.

Volunteer Highlight

Diane & Merrill

This month, we're highlighting two Salem residents who have been part of the community for the past 30 years: Diane, a retired physical therapist, and Merrill, a retired member of the National Park Service.

They found The Salem Pantry through their church and decided to give back by volunteering at The Market twice a week.

Thank you, Diane and Merrill!
