SYC is a proud partner of the "Adopt a Highway" initiative! Our assigned cleanup area is near the former SYC Office on Newington Road. With our fall cleanup day falling on a FCPS student holiday, this is the perfect chance for kids to earn their community service hours! Staff will be on hand to verify volunteer hours on site or via email at mayraguzman@sycva.com. Join us on Thursday, October 3rd, from 1PM to 3PM, and help us “make a difference.” Please remember that children must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you for your support!

FEATURED SPORT

SYC/Westend Rugby is hosting a FREE Rugby Demo/Clinic on September 15th from 3PM-5PM at Lewis High School. Players will learn the basics of passing, catching, running, kicking plus tagging or tackling (age dependent). If players want to learn tackling, they need to bring a mouthguard.

Players should wear athletic attire and bring a water bottle. Is your athlete interested in giving rugby a try? Sign up for our FREE Rugby - Introductory Session and join us!

Hey SYC 12U Boys Lacrosse Families - It's Fall Brawl time, and we're getting ready to join the event! SYC Lacrosse is hosting evaluations for a 12U Boys Fall Brawl team! Evaluations are FREE, but athletes must register to participate in evaluations. Selected players will play at the LAX NOVA 2024 Fall Brawl Tournament will be held on November 23/24 at Oakton High School.
