SYC held its annual George Angulo 5K Legacy Run on June 30th. Thank you to all of our runners/walkers and volunteers who came out to support this special event. SYC is proud to host the annual Legacy Run in honor of George Angulo and in the spirit of volunteerism and giving back to the community.

FEATURED SPORT

Fall Powerlifting is now open for adult and youth athletes 5th - 12th grade as of Fall 2024. Options are available to fit every athlete's goals.


ONCE A WEEK: One 90-minute training session per week that focuses on the barbell squat, bench press, and deadlift to promote the development of strength & muscle growth, and reduce injury risk. Our workouts will also incorporate core exercises, accessory exercises, plyometric exercises (jumping), and speed/agility exercises to create well-rounded athletes. Suitable for beginners & in-season athletes.


TWICE A WEEK: Two 90-minute training sessions per week that focus on the barbell squat, bench press, and deadlift to promote the development of strength & muscle growth, and reduce injury risk. Our workouts will also incorporate core exercises, accessory exercises, plyometric exercises (jumping), and speed/agility exercises to create well-rounded athletes. Suitable for beginners, high-level in-season athletes, off-season athletes, & competitive powerlifters.


YOUTH PERSONAL TRAINING: This option is for highly-motivated athletes seeking individualized programming and detailed guidance from one of our coaches. Athletes will have two, 90-minute training sessions with the group per week and one, 60-minute 1-on-1 session per week with one of our coaches. Programming will be tailored to the athlete’s specific goals and capabilities. There will be a total of 8 personal training sessions and 24 sessions with the group (32 total sessions).

 

ADULT PERSONAL TRAINING: This option is for motivated adults with a wide range of goals (improving strength, muscle growth, increasing speed and power, or simply just trying to be healthier). Our coaches are certified personal trainers with several years of experience capable of programming for a wide range of goals. We will work with you to create a program that meets your individual needs!

Tackle Football Parent Meeting

Dates/Time: 7pm July 16

Location: Barker Hall at Irving MS

 

The Tackle Football Parent Meeting for those still considering registration AND more importantly...for those currently registered for the season! The commissioner will provide an overview of the football season, set program expectations, explain the age/weight matrix, explain other NVYFL rules, and answer any/all questions. It is VERY IMPORTANT that at least one parent/guardian of each registered player attend.
