LGBT Pride Month is a month in June, dedicated to the celebration and commemoration of lesbiangaybisexual, and transgender (LGBTpride.

We Are Hamilton Launch Event

You're invited to our LAUNCH EVENT on June 29 (9:30 - 11:30 AM) at Hamilton City Hall. 


Are you an individual or community group that supports inclusion and diversity in Hamilton? 


Hamilton for All is a multi-faceted campaign led by several community groups in Hamilton. It supports the promotion and awareness of inclusion and belonging and is looking to elevate the voices of equity-seeking groups in Hamilton and build capacity against hate and bigotry of all kinds.


After months of behind-the-scenes work, we are so excited to share the launch of both the campaign visuals and a NEW Anti-hate toolkit for Hamiltonians to get involved!

WPH Teams up with YWCA for the 'Construction Craft Worker Pre-Apprenticeship'

Program Overview

A Construction Craft Worker Pre-Apprentice works on a wide variety of structures, such as residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional sites as well as hydroelectric dams, roadways, bridges, tunnels, mining and railways. They may also work on utility, landscape and pipeline projects.


YWCA Hamilton is pleased to offer Pre-Apprenticeship programs for persons with disabilities and mental health barriers at no-cost, providing participants with technical training and job coaching to start their career in the skilled trades.

2023-2024 Pre-apprenticeship Program for Child Development Practitioner

We are delighted to relaunch this program which has already enabled many members of the French-speaking community to emancipate themselves through virtual courses and hands-on training, offering a virtuous career prospect in maintaining a qualitative French-speaking education in the Halton – Hamilton – Niagara area.
