Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
The answer to the extreme division and violent rhetoric in the USA, now with a second assassination attempt on President Trump, is God's gift of repentance. Our forefathers knew this Godly Solution and used it literally hundreds of times, starting with the Pilgrims. We've had national days of prayer, but the last such call including repentance was in 1918 by Congress and the President, helping to end WW1.
National Repentance, 2 Chronicles 7:14, would call upon Him to heal our land, and would immediately take down the violent rhetoric:
"Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.... Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. " James 3: 5-10, 13.
The "meekness of wisdom"! That wisdom comes from first repenting, truly converting to join Jesus' Kingdom, and then being born again with His indwelling Holy Spirit. Meekness of wisdom reflects this Truth from Jesus/Yehua: " Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5). Meekness is not weakness, but power under perfect control. Jesus is the eternal example for this in the Way that He made His entry to Jerusalem, "lowly sitting on a donkey." (Matthew 21: 4,5).
So even as we pray for a key person to call for a National Day of Repentance in the USA, please see the events also as the Lord's Way to wake each of us up to use His meekness and wisdom to change our words toward others. The indwelling Holy Spirit with His gifts, including the gift of self control, can put out the fire of a tongue: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." (James 3: 17,18).
Share His love with others (John 15:17), thereby "hallowing" Him (Numbers 20:12). As He continues to shake His planet (Hebrews 12:27,28) join us on His path of repentance as day after day we "cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." (2 Corinthians 7:1).
