The dirty secret of job hunting is that finding work is "a rigged game" with you on the outside looking in.
Companies create obtuse bureaucratic job listings that neglect to mention the most important information to you-- compensation.
Then, they send you to applicant trackinng systems to complete applications and then be ignored.
Recruiters are "co-conspirators"in the game; after all, employers pay them, not you; as a result they act beholden to emplpyers who they speak to daily, instead of you; after all, you may ask for their help every few years.
Don't believe me?
If you were a hiring manager during 2007 - 2010 when the economy tanked, you know you didn't get return calls until you landed your next job (which, generally, you found on your own without them).
JobSearchCoachingHQ will be launching no later than May, 2016 with advice for job hunters worldwide (English speakers).
At that time, most of my online content, except for podcasts, will disappear online.
In addition to information about job search, I will be doing discounted resume and LinkedIn profile critiques (record the price I charge and compare it with what the posted price will be for members), short coaching and Q&A sessions with members, monthly group Q&A and more.
My personal plan is to move from headhunting to career coaching later this year, still helping job hunters, but in a different way than I have in the past.
A few months ago, I asked for 15 minutes of advice from you. Although I couldn't get to everyone, everyone who offered to give me the 15 monutes I asked for will receive 2 months of membership free.
And, when I announce the service here, those of you who are subscribers will be offered an initial low price that will be the lowest price I ever charge for the service.
