The Squibb House Wrap

Squibb House Wrap

Kris’s latest design is the Squibb House Wrap! This beautiful piece was created for our recently completed “Stitching with Kris” event held at the historic Squibb House here in Cambria.

It uses 2 skeins each of two colors of Feliz, from Manos del Uruguay. Feliz is a delightful Merino/Modal blend that has great stitch definition and a subtle silk-like sheen you’re sure to enjoy. As a bonus, it’s even machine washable! (Gentle cycle please, and we’d recommend laying it flat to dry)

While it may look complex, it’s a Mosaic pattern meaning it uses a slip stitch technique and you’re only working on one color at a time. A much more accessible way to approach color work when compared to Fair Isle.

We’ve created a few color combinations or choose your own combinations in the beautiful colors of Feliz. We recommend two semi-solid colors with high contrast to take advantage of the design.

Noro Malvinas!

Noro Malvin

New from our friends at Noro, Malvinas is a pure blend of 100% merino wool from La Islas Malvinas in the Falkland islands off the coast of Argentina. It's a worsted weight yarn that comes in a variety of solid colors taken from some of Noro's most popular colorways, so you can pair it with your other Noro favorites such as Ito and Silk Garden, or use it by itself!
