In honor of International Women’s Day, FOCUS USA will share a three-part series highlighting some of the incredible women of northern Pakistan who work as search and rescue team volunteers with the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat.

First, we meet Gul Noori from Gilgit, the pioneer who prioritized the rescue of women in disasters while challenging societal gender norms. From scaling mountains to wearing dungarees, Gul Noori spent 22 years breaking barriers for women in Pakistan as a SART volunteer.
