Peachtree City Shines Bright

on the 4th of July!

Last week's 4th of July Parade and Fireworks went off with a bang, thanks to the collaboration of our city departments and the enthusiastic participation of our residents.

For the first time ever, the 4th of July festivities were livestreamed, meaning many could watch the parade and fireworks from home or while on vacation.

It was a day filled with joy, patriotism, and community spirit. Here's to many more celebrations together in the years to come!

Congratulations to Our 2024

#PTCEATS: Sign Up Through the Summer

With another culinary tour comes more exciting additions to the line up – we were pleased to welcome Alo Farms, who brought two different lettuces to the Visitors Center to sample.

We learned about their operation, their community outreach, and which local restaurants offer their lettuces!

We also added Hobnob and Beignets & Brew to the line up, which blew guests away with their selection of samples. A stalled train may have held up our travels, but certainly didn’t stop us!

July, September and October tours are nearly sold out, don’t miss your chance to be part of this exclusive tour.

Now Hiring: Stormwater Manager

July 11th Special Called Meeting Agenda

Enhancing Water Quality

Stormwater runoff containing excessive amounts of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers is a significant threat to water quality. There are several things one can do to protect the water quality in our lakes and streams:

  • Limit the use of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
  • Do not apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers if heavy rain is predicted.
  • Rather than broadcasting herbicides, spot-treat only those areas that contain weeds.
  • Maintain a small lawn and keep the rest of your property or yard in a natural state with trees and other native vegetation that require little or no fertilizer.
  • Make sure to properly dispose of any unused portions. Do not dump pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers down a storm drain.
