2020 has been an incredibly challenging year. From start to finish, the obstacles have been endless; however, you have risen to the occasion and confronted this pandemic head-on.

The credit union has also adapted by reconfiguring systems and procedures to permit half of our staff to operate remotely, and to handle most member needs without the need for in-person interaction. We have been working over the years to implement the technology needed to do most transactions electronically, so we were positioned to build on those capabilities and enhance them. We have managed to resolve most issues and serve our member’s needs uninterrupted.

Being here to help our first responder members has been our highest priority. We purchased PPE, implemented disinfecting procedures, and have carefully followed the CDC guidelines to insure a safe environment for staff and members. We are proud to be one of the few financial institutions that kept our teller lobby open for the entire pandemic. We also continued to meet with members by appointment when many financial institutions offered drive-thru service only.

We understand the financial difficulties being experienced by our members. We are working to quickly grant extensions, emergency loans, and other assistance to help.

Finally, I am pleased to report the credit union remains strong. We again earned the Bauer 5 Star rating for safety and soundness, proving us to be one of the strongest financial institutions in the nation. Our income also remains strong so we are well-positioned to weather what will come.
