In-Person Worship Sunday--9am

Unison Prayer

L: O Lord, our Lord,

how majestic is your name in all the earth.

We pray this day that we may come to a clearer understanding

that you have more interest in our character than in our comfort.

Where we have need of correction, speak plainly to us and grant us the courage

to make the changes you would bring in our lives.

P: May the love we express for you on this Sunday morning continue throughout the coming week.

Strengthen this congregation, we pray,

in order that we may become more effective

in our ministry, in our service, and in our witness to the community.

In the name of the risen Christ, amen.

Call to Worship

L: Praise the Lord with all that you have!

P: Praise and trust in the Lord with all your heart and soul!

L: For God is with us throughout all our lives.

P: God’s loving presence surrounds us and comforts us in times of trouble.

L: Rejoice in the Lord at all times, in all places.

P: For God is steadfast and loving to us all. Amen.

Mission Giving for July

Our joint mission for the month of July is Operation Christmas Child. This is a project of the international relief organization, Samaritan's Purse. This mission provides local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with a variety of gifts for children, as an outreach within their own communities to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

With each box built, a $10 donation is suggested to offset the shipping and handling costs. Our goal this year is to offer support to this mission, not by building boxes, but by offsetting these costs. $10 can go a long way to putting these gifts into the hands of children in need!

Please make a note on your gift if you would like it to go towards this mission.

I scream you scream!

Trailside Meal #2 took place on Wednesday night the 10th.

The weather was perfect to enjoy grilled hot dogs and ice cream sundaes! We hope to see you in August!

Pastor Stephen from Our Savior's Lutheran Church has sent an email to gauge interest around a Quilting Bee that the ladies at OSL are hoping to organize. They are thinking of Tuesday, October 8th. This is in the very early planning stages, but if you might be interested, please let Pastor Jen know so that she can let OSL know.

Small groups

Did you know that we have small groups that meet all year? These are always open to new faces!

Tuesdays at 9am--A Bible study that focuses on the scriptures to be covered on the next Sunday in worship.

Wednesdays (every other week) 4-6pm--In depth Bible study for those that really want to go deeper into the text. This study usually chooses a specific book of the Bible to focus on.

Thursdays at 10am--this is a Men's book study that meets offsite, please speak with Dean Fitch or Pastor Jen to get connected.

I look forward to starting a new women's study in the Fall with a book on female friendships with biblical insights. I would love to support or help you start other small groups if you have ideas! Please reach out to me, and we can get more groups started.

If you have something that should be added to this newsletter from your group or mission, please speak with Pastor Jen or email the details to her at jenmatt20@gmail.com. The E-Grace is generally completed by noon on Thursdays, so articles need to be received by Thursday 10am at the very latest.

If you wish to connect with me directly and it is not an emergency, please know that I will respond as needed during pretty regular office hours. I am generally in the church on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from at least 10-1, call the office to be sure, as my weeks may vary. I check my emails frequently throughout the day, and this is the best way to contact me. Friday is my day off as needs allow.
