It's Volunteer Appreciation Month, and with 500 volunteers donating their time, talents, and compassion to Valley Humane, we have a lot to recognize. From compassionate animal care for homeless dogs and cats to working in the community to help keep people and pets together, Valley Humane's volunteers are the heart of the organization. We depend on their time and support. We're also buzzing with excitement for the upcoming events, blossoming with opportunities to get involved and make a difference in the lives of animals and people in our community. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our mission. Week after week, they selflessly devote their time and energy to help make an impact on others. Our volunteers understand the power of our relationships with animals and do their best to nurture that relationship by helping find new loving connections for homeless pets, providing food and supplies to keep people and pets together, or even bringing special canine attention to those in need of mental and emotional support. Our volunteers contribute to all activities at Valley Humane – adoptions, customer service, surgical recovery, fostering, community events, fundraisers and so much more. Make your reservations now for Tips for Change on Tuesday, April 23! Join us for an exclusive evening at SideTrack Bar+Grill in Pleasanton. Our volunteer servers will serve up delicious fare, competing for the biggest tips. Reserve early, come hungry, and tip generously! 100% of tips benefit Valley Humane Society's lifesaving programs. Wine & Wags
Come out to Wine & Wags at Vasco Row in Livermore on April 14, where friendly dogs and wine-loving owners can sit, stay, and sip! Nine wineries have partnered with local animal rescues for a day of wine tasting, dog adoptions, and fun.
