The Round Up

The Journey of Mastery I

By Dr. Michael Edwards

The Schuster Center CEO

Each of you reading this has the potential of becoming a Master in dentistry. It is often thought that Mastery is reserved for a select few. That’s simply not true.

You can learn the secrets of Mastery in Dentistry if you follow the path of those Masters who have come before you. There is a process that all Masters have followed, with no exceptions.

Step No. 1 Discover your Life Task — your purpose, your calling; what you were meant to accomplish in the time you have to live.

In childhood, you were directed toward activities, people, and subjects that fit your natural inclinations. Something sparked your interest and curiosity in a deep way, which motivated you to learn more!

The first move of a Master is always inward, learning who you really are, what you love, and what inspires and motivates you. Every Master connects with an innate and invisible force that is already within them. The same is true for you.

Knowing it with clarity, you discover what you want to do with your life. Once this happens, all else begins to fall into place. It’s never too late to start the Journey of Mastery. We are here to help you discover your “Life Task” when you are ready to begin your Journey of Mastery.

Coming up...

Next up for The Schuster Center will be the New Patient Experience I (NPE I) in Hartford, CT, June 8-10.

The NPE I is the gateway to private care dentistry.

It creates the foundation and educates participants on building an experience for new patients that, not only orients them to you, your team and your philosophy of care. . . but also helps them discover their own value for health and determine what life will be like when they get what they want, or achieve their desired level of health.

By creating a structure that is a reflection of the doctor, patients have the freedom to choose the level of care they want as well as the outcomes and the doctor moves beyond job satisfaction and moves into fulfillment.

NPE I Objectives

• Managing the transition between two worlds, orienting team, and patients towards your preferred future

• Building an NPE around your philosophy and values

• Creating your NPE flow and understanding the purpose of each module

• Inviting the right people into the practice

• Breaking down the NPE initial experience, building the skills and establishing the structure to be completely present for your new patient

• Moving from Co-discovery to Self-discovery

• From Treatment planning to Master Planning

• Organizing team support for the NPE

• From Fees to Treatment Sequencing

• Marketing for your unique offering.
