Welcome Amy Iliff

On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, I am excited to welcome Amy Iliff to the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum! As our new Operations Coordinator, Amy will be supervising our new Discovery Navigator team and establishing educational opportunities here at the museum.

Amy is excited to work at the Discovery Museum. As a child, Amy visited the original location and she brought her son to the current location when he was younger. Amy is a former teacher who enjoys teaching and encouraging young learners to expand their creative minds. Her favorite part of the museum is the Creation Station and the Reading Tree. Amy would like every child to experience the MAGIC here at the museum.

One of Amy's first projects will be the

Discovery Space Camp

Join us for our Discovery Space Camp, December 20-23 from 9-12 noon for children ages 6 to 10. Launch a rocket, learn about constellations and much more. There is still time to sign up, pop into the museum between 10am to 1 pm on Saturday, December 18 to register for this amazing experience.

Cost:

$125 for members

$150 for non-members

While the Museum hires and trains new staff, we will be rolling out modified hours and programming starting January 7. Check out social media pages and our webpage to learn more.

Please join us in welcoming Amy to the Museum.

Best regards,

Rebecca Thomas
