Annual Meeting

Last night we held Painted Tree's first Annual Meeting. There were approximately 50 homeowners in attendance to hear about the "State of the Community" from the HOA and developer team. We discussed 2023 highlights and accomplishments as well as what's in store for 2024.
If you were not able to attend the meeting, please click below for a copy of the presentation slides.
Painted Tree Candles

Among the door prizes given away at the Annual Meeting, were custom-scented, all natural, Painted Tree candles. The scent is Lavender, Sage & Ginger and is made with soy, coconut, and beeswax using a hemp wick.

The candles were made at Native McKinney, located in Downtown McKinney. Native McKinney is a mindful holistic wellness studio & Zen DIY Bar that offers alternative holistic medicine services, certifications, natural products, and meditative yoga. Because there is something very healing and meditative about creating something with our hands, they offer DIY botanical workshops. Native's goal is to promote well-being for the mind, soul, and body with a connection to nature as well as to create a safe place for healing.

We are working with Native McKinney to schedule a Painted Tree candle-making workshop this spring. Stay tuned for more details!

"Why did I receive this courtesy letter in my email or mailbox?"

In Painted Tree, we have Rules and Regulations for the community regarding the exterior appearance of your home. On a routine basis, the Community Management team will drive the community inspecting homes for any issues that may be outside of the guidelines set forth by the documents. The first step to the “violation” process is a courtesy reminder, to let you know that we found something that may fall outside of these guidelines and should be corrected. These courtesy letters are a quick reminder of the community guidelines, but also a grace period! The first violation letter starts 15 days after the original courtesy letter, and fines will start 30 days after the first violation.

The Rules and Regulations help our property values and welcomes our guests that may be visiting your new home for the first time! Some of the reasons you may receive a courtesy reminder would be weeds in the front yard, grass being too tall, flower beds that are unkept, or maybe an addition to your front yard that was not sent through the Architectural Control Committee. This is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors who may be able to help put your trash cans away if you go out of town, or to refer you to a local lawn service company they trust!

We’ve also made the Architectural Control Committee application process even easier! If you click on the link below, it will take you to an online form where you can submit your application and upload photos and plans! We’ll also be adding this application link to the lifeatpaintedtree.com website and Painted Tree App! We’re excited to roll this out and hope that it makes your experience in the community just that much easier!
