As the racing world prepares for the 149th renewal of the Kentucky Derby this Saturday, the Racing and Gaming Conference in Saratoga is excited to unveil another best-in-class agenda for its third rendition this summer.
The Racing and Gaming Conference at Saratoga will be held August 14-16, at the Saratoga Hilton. In keeping with our longstanding tradition, the conference coincides with the summer Thoroughbred racing season at Saratoga Race Course, making it a must-attend event for both racing and gaming professionals. Among all gaming conferences, this event is particularly notable because:

  • Our program will address the essential, growing relationship between racing and other gaming verticals, including casino gaming, igaming, sports betting and lotteries.
  • This event takes place at the height of the racing season in one of the nation's most venerable, beautiful - and fun - racing communities: Saratoga Springs, New York.

Racing and gaming industry experts will examine the trends, challenges and critical issues facing their industries, with panel discussions focusing on these topics:

  • New York Casino Expansion to New York City and Surrounding Counties: Is the Finish Line in Sight?
  • Consolidation of Gaming: Status and Implications for Racetracks and Casinos
  • Tribal Digital Gaming: Has the Moment Finally Arrived?
  • Technology and Gaming: New Challenges, New Solutions
  • The Implications of Exclusion for Racetracks and Casinos
  • Consumer Protections and the Federalization of Gaming - Focus on “Betting on our Future Act” Congressional legislation
  • Harness Racing: An Industry in Decline – or in Transformation
  • Historical Horse Racing Machines: Is it Horse racing: Is it parimutuel; why does it matter? (HHR) Handle by some reports is eclipsing traditional horse racing handle
  • HISA – Legal Limbo and Regulatory Reluctance
  • Racing’s Changing Customer Base, CRWs and the Future of Betting

The conference will also include two networking receptions and a day at the races on August 16 at 1:00 p.m.
