The WICT Network is thrilled to once again open Diversity Week 2024 with our annual Leadership Conference. This year’s theme, Fueling Your Power and Purpose, takes center stage.

Our distinguished speakers, drawn from diverse backgrounds and spanning industries, academia and thought leadership, will address how to cultivate resilience, adaptability and authenticity, critical characteristics for effective leadership in a dynamic industry marked by rapid change.

In-person attendees can expect an engaging lineup of general sessions, interactive workshops, expert panels, one-on-one coaching sessions and ample opportunities for peer-to-peer networking.

Virtual attendees will have access to all general sessions live-streamed, select live-streamed breakout sessions, and the live-streamed Touchstones Luncheon. One-on-one coaching and networking opportunities will be offered virtually as well.

The WICT Network is pleased to announce its Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI) graduating classes, 48 & 49. 

Established in 1994, our BMLI program was created with top-ranking industry executives in mind. Our BMLI participants are immersed in a year-long experience, focused on developing the crucial leadership skills needed for taking their careers to the next level. With the guidance of industry experts and mentors, our graduates were immersed in hands-on learning activities, classroom lectures and research, as well as peer mentoring—to become their best selves—in and out of the workplace.

The graduates convened, May 14 - 17, in Denver, Colorado, to close out their final sessions as a class. Let's take a moment to celebrate our BMLI graduates and all that they have accomplished this past year!

Reminder: Submit Your Women of the Year and Women to Watch Nominations by Monday, June 17

Nominations for The WICT Network’s 2024 Women of the Year and Women to Watch Awards are now being accepted. These awards, our highest individual honors, will be presented at the Touchstones Luncheon on Monday, October 21, during the Leadership Conference. 

Woman of the Year

The Woman of the Year Award is bestowed on a woman who has made significant contributions throughout her career to her company and the overall industry. She is a proven leader and asset who shows great resolve to help others along their path. The WICT Network will select one honoree from a programmer and one from an operator.

Attributes:

• Strong and articulate communicator who can rally others into action;
• Serves as a catalyst to advance the industry and its people;
• Inspires others through words and deeds;
• Listens to and connects with her peers;
• Leads fearlessly with a sense of purpose and vision.

Woman to Watch

The Woman to Watch Award honors a woman who shows tremendous success and promise through her professional accomplishments. She demonstrates exemplary leadership skills in her company and a strong dedication to the industry. The WICT Network will select one honoree from a programmer, an operator and a technology company.

Attributes:

• Contributes significantly to transform her organization;
• Serves as a catalyst to help advance others at her organization;
• Serves as a role model and mentor to colleagues and others;
• Listens to and connects with her peers;
• Leads authentically with a commitment to her values.
