Dear Prestonwood Montessori at E.D. Walker Families,

We opened our doors to students and families in 2021. Over the last three years as a Montessori school, we worked hard to establish a joyful culture, high academic expectations, and a transformational presence in our community. As we expand into our fourth year, we are so excited to level up with our kids and continue to thrive!

We guide our children to discover their passions, embrace individuality, and cultivate relationships within their community and the following updates will provide you important information on how we will do that as we move into the 2024-2025 school year.

Dual Language Program 2024 - 2025

The Dual Language program gives your child an opportunity to learn how to speak, write, read, listen, and think in both Spanish and English. Gaining this skill set prepares students for greater career and professional options, as well as providing them with a competitive edge in the global marketplace.

In the Dual Language classroom, instruction is provided in Spanish and English. Students also learn and grow by interacting with their peers whose first language is Spanish and/or English.

If you are interested in applying for your child's enrollment in the Dual Language Montessori program at Prestonwood Montessori at E.D. Walker, please fill out this google form.

This is not automatic entry into the Dual Language program. Official commitment and acceptance will come once all seats are filled.

Now that you have accepted a spot for your student -- it's time to complete Registration! Click here for step-by-step instructions.

STEP 1: Families collect the required documents.

STEP 2: Parents complete and submit the online Pre-K Registration.

STEP 3: District staff review registration and determine eligibility for Pre-K.

STEP 4: District staff notify parents of the status of their registration and eligibility for free PreK.

We are partnering with Affordable Uniforms to make your uniform selection easy.

Tops: White, Sky Blue, Navy Blue

Bottoms/Shorts/Skirts/Jumpers: Gray or Navy Blue

Logo on the uniform is not mandatory. You may buy uniforms with or without the logo. Also if you choose to buy uniforms at a different retail store, you may take them to Affordable Uniforms and add the logo for $6.

Zelda Saxton

School Nurse

Zelda Zaxton graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1988. Saxton has been with Dallas ISD for fifteen years. Before becoming a school nurse, Saxton was a pediatric hematology/ oncology nurse and an adult care oncology nurse. She looks forward to supporting each student's optimal level of wellness at Prestonwood Montessori!

Ms. Partee

Guía de educación especial

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Ms. Partee (Ms. Bryant) received her Bachelor's Degree from Louisiana State University in General/Special Education. During her first year of teaching, she learned about the Montessori approach and fell in love with the individualized guidance and instruction offered in Montessori classrooms.

Partee pursued her Montessori credential in 2021 and joined Prestonwood Montessori at E.D. Walker as a founding Primary Guide. In addition to her responsibilities as a guide, Partee serves as a member of the Hiring Committee, and the Student Culture Committee Lead. In 2023 she was selected as Prestonwood's Teacher of Promise through Dallas ISD's Teacher of the Year initiative. This honor is awarded to educators in their first three years of teaching who excel in both the classroom and school community.

After two years in the Primary classroom Ms. Partee has spent the past year as a Special Education teacher at Prestonwood Montessori at ED Walker. This opportunity fulfills a long term goal of Partee to provide exceptional special education based on the philosophies of Maria Montessori.
