Black History Month & Fine Arts Fridays

B-FAM and the Library's Fine Arts Friday are collaborating for the month of February!

Week 1: The EDW Step Team Performed and taught everyone some dance moves!

Week 2: 🐍 Students met Tonja Thurman and a selection of rescued animals from her non-profit Fanged Out Animal Rescue and Outreach!


How good are your trivia skills? During morning announcements students participate in daily trivia about a prominent African American in history. Checkout PWM's Black History Month Riddles to continue the discussion at home!

As teachers, we are frequently asked, "What can we do at home?" The American Montessori Society has 100 ideas of ways to support your child's learning in the classroom OUTSIDE of school.

Students and families who will take TELPAS this month will receive more information from you child's guide, including specific testing dates for 2nd-4th grade online assessments.

We need your candid pictures of our school events and students. E.D. Walker is dedicating 20 pages of heir yearbook to PWM.

North Dallas Martial Arts

Summer Camp


Who: Students ages 6 & up wishing to learn about martial arts and self-defense

 

What: Beginner Students will earn their yellow belt or orange stripe. Intermediate/Advanced Students will have an intense week of working towards their next advancement level. Fitness, blocks, kicks, punches, katas, and so much more!

 

When: 9:00 AM -12:00 PM Monday-Thursday

July 15 - 18

July 22 - 25

 

Thursday: Test Day! Beginner students will earn their yellow belt or orange stripe on Thursday. Parents are encouraged to come watch their child achieve their next level in Martial Arts.

 

Why: Enjoy summer with new experiences and to learn new tools for self defense!

 

Where: Prestonwood Montessori Elementary School

 

Cost: $130 per child per week (includes beginner belt test) If you decide to cancel for any reason, $50 is non-refundable. You may switch dates at no extra cost.
