Summer 2021!
It was another outstanding summer at Buffalo Prep! With the addition of the Prep Scholars Academy program, Buffalo Prep operated three sites across the city of Buffalo aimed at supporting talented underrepresented youth: Prep Scholars Academy at The Belle Center, Middle School Prep at Nichols School, and High School Prep at Buffalo Prep’s location on the University at Buffalo South Campus.

In-person instruction and tutorial services will resume October 2021.

Buffalo Prep's College Graduation Rates Far Surpass National Average

Buffalo Prep's research consultant, Dr. Amanda Seccia, postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago, recently completed year eight of an ongoing in-depth study on the outcomes of Buffalo Prep's High School Prep graduates in their post-secondary instruction.

With 94% of graduates reporting, the data shows that 92% of Buffalo Prep alumni have completed their bachelor’s degree or are currently enrolled to obtain one. Comparatively, 60% of higher-income students nationally graduate with a bachelor’s degree, whereas only about 16% of low-income college students graduate with a bachelor’s degree, as reported by the National Center for Education Statistics. An additional 2% of alumni are enrolled or are on track to receive their Certified Nurse Assistant license or Associate of Applied Science degree.
