Bishop's Visitation to Saint Sylvan's, Dunseith

Bishop Brian made his first visitation to St. Sylvan's, Dunseith on Sunday, August 18th. In addition to four baptisms, Bishop Brian officially installed Kim Fox as Priest-in-Charge. Following the service, a potluck meal was enjoyed by all. Bishop Brian also recognized Senior Warden, Mary Ann Henry, for her faithful service.

Once your church has figured out their identity piece, please email the Dicoesan Office. This way we can help churches think through how they are going to display their piece.

Nominations


We are in need of Nominations for the following positions:

  • Treasurer (elected yearly)
  • Convention Secretary (elected yearly)
  • Standing Committee Clergy Member (3-year term)
  • Standing Committee Lay Member (3-year term)
  • 2 East Region Council Members (3-year term)
  • 2 West Region Council Members (3-year term)


Fill out the Nomination form and submit to the Diocesan Office to be included in our Pre-Convention materials!

Resolutions


Resolutions need to be submitted in writing by August 26th, according to our Canons. Please submit all resolutions to the Diocesan Office.

Display Tables


Have a fun and interesting ministry somewhere in the Diocese? We have space for Display Tables at Convention. Email the Diocesan Office if you would like to have a table at Convention!

St. Paul's, White Shield

Cedar trees ready for planting along prayer path at St. Paul's, White Shield, as part of United Thank Offering grant in environmental reparations. Thank you to Robert Fox, Project Manager, for retrieving trees from Minot in a horse trailer!

81st General Convention

Summary of Actions



The Summary of Actions is published after every General Convention and includes a table of the resolutions with their final status as known July 26th of 2024, as well as the officers of the General Convention and elections and appointments of the 81st General Convention. You can read it here. The full text of each resolution is listed in a separate report available here, or on the VBinder until the data is cleared to make way for the 82nd General Convention data.

 

The final and certified form of the legislation will be available in the Journal of the 81st General Convention, which, when finished, will be available on the Journal page of the publications section of the General Convention's website.

Cycle of Prayer


The Anglican and Diocesan Cycle of Prayer for Quarter 3 (July through September) is available on the diocesan website, in both PDF and Word versions, so you can include these prayers in your weekly worship.


If there is an edit needed to the Cycle of Prayer, please email the Diocesan office.
