Let's Prepare FMCP for a Changing Climate:

Take the Waterfront Alliance Survey

Together, we can plan for a more climate resilient Flushing Meadows Corona Park

The Waterfront Alliance and NYC Parks are partnering to develop climate resilience plans to help the park manage increased flooding and heat.

They want to hear your experience with wet weather and hot days in the park!

Take the survey below to share how extreme weather has affected your experiences in our park:

Aquatic Histories:

City of Water Day and FMCP History on July 13!

The second World's Fair History Walk of 2024 is a special THEMED event in honor of the 17th annual City of Water Day!

Everyone knows that FMCP has no shortage of water, from Flushing Bay to Willow Lake. This fun and free event will let you learn more about the aquatic stories that shaped the World's Fair and our borough.

Architects from ASLANY will be there to discuss the making of FMCP's Mist Garden, designed by Quennell Rothschild & Partners.

After the walk, stop by the Queens Night Market and continue your worldly adventures without ever needing to leave FMCP!

Adventure Time:

CPF's Adventure Race Returns to FMCP!

City Parks Foundation's annual Family Adventure Race will be held at Flushing Meadows Park on Saturday, July 27.

Parent-child duos take part in the timed race, which is free of charge and requires basic exercise, sports skills and teamwork. The course typically consists of 12-14 different activity stations including javelin throw, jump rope, putting, hurdles, and a mini climbing wall.

The teams receive a map and traverse the park to find each activity, and both competitors perform the exercise or task at hand before advancing to the next station.

Upon the completion of all activities, teams sprint to the finish line!
