Join "I Stand with Immigrants" Day on November 2nd

We encourage your campus to join us and our Scholars in the 7th annual I Stand With Immigrants Day of Action taking place on November 2nd.

  • Here are some activities to consider.
  • Sign up here to join the list of over 160 institutions committed to participating.

We hope this day can be both a day to show all immigrant students on campus that they are valued and supported as well as urge our country's leaders to prioritize the passage of Dream legislation this year.

Check out Presidents' Alliance's updated talking points for campuses on the urgency of the moment.

Paid Opportunities with Teach for America

We are partnered with Teach for America to offer two paid opportunities to current Scholars and graduates:

  • The Ignite Fellowship is open to undergraduate or graduate students of all majors with an ITIN or SSN;
  • the Corps Member Program is open to grads with a bachelor's degree by the first day of summer training and valid work authorization.

Here is the email we sent containing the details and deadlines.

Presenters shared about:

  • the top needs of undocumented students,
  • the research on Undocumented Student Resource Centers (USRC) and how to start a center in a tuition-restrictive state,
  • the process of developing non-employment-based fellowships,
  • how to fund graduate school,
  • the importance of building communities of practices, and
