Now Accepting Summer Term EVRs

The Partner Colleges on this list can begin submitting Summer term EVRs once terms have started and classes are set. Note: Newly awarded Scholars are eligible for Summer funds, and can be included in this EVR.

    

Please make sure to read all the way through the instructions or watch the 5-min tutorial video to get a refresher on the process. These can be found in the Program Management section of our website.

    

The deadline to submit the Summer EVR is July 31, 2024.

1,313 new Awardees have accepted TheDream.US National Scholarship. Thank you for your outreach to Awardees!

 

You can see who your New Scholars by running your PC Scholar Report in your ISTS Portal.


New Scholar Onboarding:

Over this summer, we will send our New Scholars a series of 5 onboarding emails containing key information to help orient them to our Program. The emails will be sent every two weeks on Wednesday, starting May 22nd

Please Encourage Scholars to Complete their Scholar Survey

We are emailing and texting our Scholars every week with their survey link, encouraging them to #Giveback and use their voice.


Only 1 in 3 have completed their survey thus far. Please encourage your Scholars to complete their survey. They have until June 1st to get it done, before renewing their scholarship.

Parker Dewey's New Payment System - Tipalti

As of May 1, Parker Dewey has switched to Tipalti – a payment processing platform that is inclusive to SSN, EIN, and ITIN holders! Their previous platforms GigWage and Melio will no longer be used. Scholars currently in experiences through Parker Dewey (including Scholars in TheDream.US Internship Funding Program and/or Experiential Fellowship Program) have already received email notifications about this change from Parker Dewey.

Run the "PC Scholar Report" in your ISTS PC Portal and filter on column AE “Renewal Eligibility.”

SCHOLAR PROGRAMMING

Graduate Loan Program Application Opens Today

The Dreamers Graduate School Loan application for the 2024-2025 academic year opens today, May 15, 2024.


Please note:

  • The loan program is open to scholarship recipients of TheDream.US, Golden Door Scholars, and Equal Chance for Education, as well as other college graduates with DACA or TPS
  • Social Finance is the fund manager and Funding U, an education lending platform, is processing the applications and originating the loans.


Heads up: TheDream.US Alumni who take out any private student loan are eligible to apply for the Graduate Loan Scholarship. The application period will be June 17th to September 3rd this year.You can find the eligibility criteria and the link in the Scholar Hub here.

Last day to Submit Written Testimonies of Support for Last Week's Senate Hearing

On May 8th, TheDream.US President and CEO, Gaby Pacheco testified before the Senate, speaking on the pressing need to protect Dreamers with or without DACA or TPS. See our press release here.


In support, 1,746 TheDream.US Scholars and Alumni signed onto a new letter calling on lawmakers to deliver an opportunity for them to become American citizens. The sign-on letter is available here.


Your support is key in urging legislative action. Please consider submitting a written statement to impact the official record. 

 

Instructions for Submitting Written Testimony by EOD Today:

  • Format: Please submit documents in Word or PDF format.
  • Content: Statements should be pertinent to the topic of the hearing and free from private personal information.
  • Deadline: All submissions must be received by Wednesday, May 15, 2024. However, earlier submissions are encouraged.
  • Submission Email: Please send your testimonies to durbin_testimony@judiciary-dem.senate.gov AND Mirella_Ceja-Orozco@judiciary-dem.senate.gov with the subject line “5/8 SJC Dreamer Hearing Written Statement.”
  • Please let us know if you submit a testimony.
