Submit Name of Mental Health Liaison for TheDream.US by May 1st
We want to ensure that our Scholars have direct access to trained mental health providers should a situation arise that requires immediate help.
Towards that end, we are asking each of our Partner Colleges to designate a Mental Health Liaison that we can refer our Scholars to for help.

Please fill out this Google Sheet by May 1 st to give us the name and contact information for the Mental Health Liaison. Reach out to tania.wilcox@thedream.us if you have any questions.
Stoles for Spring 2019 Grads
If you submitted a Spring 2019 Grad List, please let your Scholars know when and where to pick up their stole and other graduation memorabilia.

Please encourage them to join our Alumni Network ( see overview video here). Sign up takes only a few minutes and can be done on their phone.

*If a graduate really does not wish to join the Alumni Network, you may still give them a stole.

*See clarification* National Scholarship Awards Announced This Week!
Emails to newly awarded National Scholars will be sent from ISTS tomorrow, Thursday 4/25!

Please find your awardees/new scholars in your applicant or PC Scholar reports in the ISTS portal and start reaching out to welcome them and offer assistance.

*1 We ask that you wait until Friday to begin any outreach to new awardees. We want to ensure that the awardees/non-awardees hear from us first and this will give applicants time to receive and open their emails.

*2 If applicants reach out and ask why they did not receive the award,  TheDream.US refrains from giving any details (e.g., ineligibility, low score, etc.). If you are asked, you can simply state: “ The National Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship program with applicants from many states. Their funds are limited and this means that many accomplished applicants are not selected.” You can also add encouragement and support for students on continuing their college journey.

Encourage Scholars to attend this Wellness Circle led by Cheryl Aguilar, MSW, who has strong experience helping undocumented students manage their mental health.
