The Pacific Pride Festival celebrates the beauty, art, and creativity LGBTQ+ individuals bring to the world. This year’s Pride will focus on access, inclusion and belonging, ensuring all members of our community can participate fully in Pride - featuring ASL interpretation, Spanish interpretation, and more spaces for everyone to be included. This all-day Pride at the Beach event is free to the public and will open with an empowering rally, feature a full line-up of live entertainment, delicious local food, family friendly activities, and much more!

Public Health Notice: MPX (Monkeypox)
The World Health Organization has declared Monkeypox a World Health Emergency. The community of Santa Barbara County should know that:
Monkeypox is a rare disease. And while many people affected in the current global outbreaks identify as gay or bisexual, monkeypox can spread to anyone through close, personal, often skin-to-skin contact including:
- Direct contact with monkeypox rash, sores, or scabs from a person with monkeypox.
- Contact with objects, fabrics (clothing, bedding, or towels), and surfaces that have been used by someone with monkeypox.
- Contact with respiratory secretions, through kissing and other face-to-face contact.

Welcome to the team Gabrielle Felder!
Originally from Orange County, California, Gabrielle completed her undergraduate education at University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated in 2018 with honors, receiving two degrees: Ecology and Evolution, B.S. and Biological Anthropology, B.A. In June 2020, Gabrielle graduated from University of Washington School of Public Health with a Master’s in Environmental and Occupational Health.
Currently, Gabrielle works as the Community Education and Outreach Coordinator at Pacific Pride Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. Her previous work experience include prevention education and youth advocacy, DEI consulting, and community program development. When she’s not working, Gabrielle enjoys watching reality TV and anime, eating sushi, and going to the beach with her dog and her partner.

Welcome our newest Board Member: Sarita Bhatt
Sarita Bhatt is an agency and marketing veteran, having spent the past 25 years building brands and creative strategies for some of the world’s top companies, including Sonos, Hershey’s, General Electric, Dos Equis, Kate Farms and others. She was the Global head of Digital Brand Experience at Sonos and most recently the VP of Consumer and Retail Marketing at Kate Farms.
She is currently working on developing children’s content centered on queer families, immigrant cultures and Hindu mythologies. She has spent the past seven years serving on the Board of the Brooklyn Community Price Center and is an active member of Satrang (the south Asian lgbtq+ Organization of Southern California). She’s an east coast to California transplant and lives with her wife Elizabeth Scharpf and two kids (Niran 5 and Ronak 3) on the Mesa.
