The act of art-making can be therapeutic in and of itself. Such as, applying pigment to a water saturated paper, and observing the spontaneity in how the pigment spreads across the fibers of the paper can increase curiosity and wonderment. Pressing on the firmness yet responsiveness of clay can connect one’s mind and body. Ripping, dipping, and sticking layers of paper mâché onto a mold can enhance one’s inner rhythm moving them into flow state and increase a sense of connection.
