PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE

Our Public Works department is proposing a Roads Needs Study to be completed in 2024. If approved by council, the study will assess the condition of all gravel and asphalt roads in the municipality and will provide recommendations to prioritize maintenance and upgrades for the next 5 to 10 years.

A delegation presented their concerns on road conditions at the January 17th council meeting. Council and staff are working on a strategy for 2024 to improve gravel road conditions during dry, dusty conditions in the summer months, and during high levels of precipitation in the fall.
