Love God

Love People

~Luke 10:27

March 24, 2023

The hand of the Lord came upon me, and he brought me out by the spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2He led me all around them; there were very many lying in the valley, and they were very dry. 3He said to me, “Mortal, can these bones live?” I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” 4Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them: O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 5Thus says the Lord God to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.                                 Ezekiel 37:1-5

As we continue our journey through Lent, the world continues going on, with everything in the world today. Everything from new diseases, drought and possible famines, to wars and rumors of wars, to mass shootings, perhaps we also can profit by grounding the prophetic vision experienced during Israel’s excilic moment.  Even though it is a grim sight, the vision serves as not only a warning, but also a promise to God’s people that they will be eventually restored.  God will take the dry bones and create a new future—a future with God’s spirit within, a future in the land of Israel. Join us this Sunday as we take a look a what it means to us Christians and how can live a faithful life during our own challenges in life. And how God is the giver you a new heart and new spirit!

Recently, some of our church members have been contacted by a scammer. Persons contacted received text messages that appeared to be from our Pastor who was asking for the member to purchase eBay gift cards for an urgent charitable need.

Please know that neither our Pastor nor any church officer would make such a request. Should anyone receive a suspicious message, phone call, letter, or email that appears to be from the Pastor or the Church trying to solicit funds or your personal information, please contact the Church Office so we can be made aware of what is happening.

Legitimate Church fundraisers are always publicized in our bulletins, newsletters, the Church website, and the Church’s Facebook page. But even still, it is not impossible for a hacker to get into online sites and make changes. We hear about these things happening to individuals and organizations quite often. So, we need to be wary of anyone asking us for money or our personal information. Always be willing to question something that looks suspicious.
