Conference to offer segment on One Church Campaign

Addressing Bishop Brown's Key Focus Areas for Parishes

Parish Communications Conference | May 16, 9:00 a.m. | Christ Church, Dover

This year's annual Parish Communications Conference will include a segment on the One Church Campaign, addressing three key areas that Bishop Brown has asked church leaders to focus on:

  • Website optimization: enhance your parish website and ensure it adheres to best practices for churches. Most importantly, make sure the information on your site is always current and inviting!
  • Facility upkeep: maintain the welcoming atmosphere of your church by continuing efforts to improve your facilities, making them welcoming and accessible to all who enter.
  • Sharing the hospitality of Christ: have a team that is ready to invite, welcome, and connect with every individual who walks through your doors.

The below speakers will offer insights and suggestions for the three focus areas mentioned above:

Invite Welcome Connect in the

Episcopal Church in Delaware

by Carol Schofield, Delaware Invite Welcome Connect team

The Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20) is the last commandment of Jesus to his disciples. It instructs his followers to share the gospel with all nations.

How do we do this as individuals? We share with others what God has done in our lives and let them know that what he has done for us he will do for them. Let them know that there is no sin so great that it can’t be forgiven. All we have to do is ask. The past is the past and it’s what is in someone’s heart today that counts.

How do we do this as a parish? We go to the Invite Welcome Connect website for ideas or to share what has worked (or not worked) in our parish using the following link below. You can also request that representatives from the Invite Welcome Connect team come to your parish and help with your evangelism efforts. invitewelcomeconnect.com

How do we do this as part of the Episcopal Church in Delaware? Join the Invite Welcome Connect team and help with this critical effort to bring people to not just know about Jesus, but to actually know him.
