Stephanie Scott, the first Black Deaf woman to serve as the President of North Carolina Black Deaf Advocates from 2003 to 2005.
She graduated from North Carolina School for the Deaf, Morganton in 1992. After graduating with a Masters in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., she served as a Deaf Services Specialist for the North Carolina Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Wilson, NC for more than 15 years.
