A Word From Portable Shade's Founder: Brad Anassis
Hi All,
I am extremely proud to send out this press release. Anassis Racing's team, BikeFin, Honda, has won the 2012 South African Super Sport & South AFrican Manufacturers Championship.
This is the first time Honda South Africa has won a road race championship since they took over the Honda brand as a wholly owned subsidiary in Africa 12 years ago. The first road race championship for Team Anassis as team owners and yes Clint Sellers' first SA Championship.
Wow a lot of 1st's!
The manufacturers championship is a combination of both 1000cc and 600cc classes, we managed to wrap up enough points to win the overall title and we achieved this by only competing in one class..!!!
Thanks to all the sponsors, crew, friends and family that played a role in this awesome year, you will never be forgotten in wining this special 1st championship with us.

Manufacturers Cup Series: Haltech's World Cup
 Announcing the Pro Nitrous Quarter Mile Shootout. A large group of the finest manufacturers and service providers in the Pro Modified motorcycle racing industry have banded together to see that the wildly popular nitrous dragbikes race the full quarter mile at November's Manufacturers Cup race at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Georgia, USA.
Although bikes will be teched in according to ADRL rules, they will run well past that organization's eighth mile finish line to once again race the full distance that everyone loves. Does anyone even know how to tune for the quarter mile anymore? And who's got the nerve to keep the throttle twisted all the way through the lights?

Per Bengtsson from Sweden, owner and rider of the world famous nitro parallel twin dragbike 'The Beast', decided earlier this season to make a dream come true and bring his bike and team over to the States to compete at the Haltech World Finals in Valdosta. The final decision was made in August when the Beast team ran a new personal best of 6.38 seconds at Gardermoen Raceway in Norway. After investigating the logistics and the financial side of the project Per came up with the idea to offer other competitive race teams space in a container to make the costs affordable. The end result is a total of three Norwegian bikes and two Swedish bikes taking part in the adventure to the USA. Read More

Tony Ferland, Jr. Breaks Class Record! 
Tony Ferland Jr. accomplished something on a motorcycle last Sunday that no one else in the world ever has. Competing in a street fighter elimination race at New England Dragway in Epping, N.H.,
Ferland completed a run in 8.67 seconds on the quarter-mile strip, reaching a speed of 161 mph. He became the first person to ever cover that distance in a stock wheel-base 1000cc motorcycle in less than 8.7 seconds."One of my passes on 10-21-12 @ New England Dragway. Street fighter et. This is the first and fastest all stock motor, stock wheel base 1000 to go into the 8.60s", said Ferland.
