Message from the Mayor

Our latest newsletter is chock-full of information we hope you find interesting.

Read on and you'll learn about the 2024 Music on the Barge season lineup. It's going to be another great summer at Gull Lake Rotary Park.

The newsletter also includes details about the grand opening of The Alexander. This new facility is a welcome addition to Gravenhurst. It provides needed accommodation for seniors and jobs for our community.

As well, we have information about McHappy Day - it was a pleasure to visit Alan and Lisa Cumber's Gravenhurst McDonald's.

Fancy yourself a shutterbug? Be sure to check out our call for Gravenhurst photos. This exciting project is spearheaded by our Public Art Advisory Committee.

We also share information about the Muskoka Discovery Centre's recent national award. Kudos once again to this magnificent local organization.

Do you enjoy watching movies on the big screen? You'll find our 2024 Cinema Under The Stars lineup in this edition of the newsletter.

As well, we have details for you about the start of a significant Town of Gravenhurst road rehabilitation and resurfacing project. It runs until the end of August.

Check out our Council Highlights package to learn about our latest meeting. Two items of note from the meeting: we are moving ahead with a municipal service delivery and organizational review for the town; and we received financial reports showing our strong fiscal position.

I look forward to updating you again next month.

Until then, please take care.

Heidi Lorenz,
