March Premiere
Matt Millen on Why Missio is Important
We are deeply grateful that Pat and her husband Matt accepted our invitation to become Honorary Co-Chairs of the REALChange campaign, which has already raised 70% of its goal!

Matt, of course, had a stellar career in the NFL, earning four Super Bowl rings while playing for the Oakland Raiders, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Washington Football Team. We asked Matt to tell us why he and Pat are committed to the mission of the seminary. He took a few minutes away from his wood shop (he’s a master craftsman!) to speak with us.

A Note from Dr. Todd Mangum

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, part of what we are celebrating is how God has led the seminary through some dramatic changes, particularly over the last 30 years. While our core commitment has not changed to such things as biblical orthodoxy, preparing leaders for life, and training men and women for real life ministry “on the ground,” our student body has grown and changed, our statement of doctrinal convictions has been modified, our name has changed, and our location has changed. Reflecting on these changes in this video are Dr. Frank James, our current president, and Dr. Dave Dunbar, president emeritus, interviewed by Thom Skinner, longest-serving employee at Missio Seminary. You won’t want to miss hearing about how God has led these leaders through some of the most significant developments in the school’s history.
Nostalgic is the best term to describe this video with Founding Faculty Member Dr. Newman, affectionately known as Doc Newman. Experience a historically warm perspective as he shares fond memories of Missio's humble and divinely orchestrated beginnings.
Announcing the Arthur R. White Scholarship
An anonymous and very generous couple wrote to President Frank James to establish a scholarship fund to, "help enable Black Philadelphians to build better communities and lives, through the work of Gospel ministry by Missio trained ministers and counsellors in their own neighborhoods." This scholarship became The Arthur R. White scholarship in honor of Rev. Dr. Arthur White, an African-American pastor in Philadelphia who was very active in the civil rights movement. He was a doctor of ministry graduate from Missio Seminary and was widely respected across the city and across denominational lines.

Watch an impromptu but a "must hear" conversation with Missio Faculty Dr. Kyuboem Lee and Missio Alum Jeremy Chen as they discuss anti-Asian hate and the need for theological reflection, historical consciousness, and self-awareness.
There are several internal and external employment opportunities available, please take a look!
