Prime Property | DC | McLean, Virginia | $43MM Sale Breaks Record

AOL co-founder Steve Case and his wife Jean Case found a buyer for their historic McLean estate, and this sale is setting records for the Washington area. The Washington Business Journal reports that Case's Merrywood property sold for $49.5 million to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, about a year after Case listed his mansion for $49.5 million. Case originally paid $24.5 million for Merrywood in 2005.
There's storied history behind the property located on seven acres on the banks of the Potomac: the circa-1919 estate  was a childhood home of Jackie Kennedy.

The regal nine-bedroom mansion includes features like a lighted tennis court, indoor and outdoor pools, and formal gardens. (Curbed DC)

Recipe | Summer Spritz | Attraversa
As a summer alternative to "rosé all day," the Attraversa at Briciola in Hell's Kitchen is sublime.  With no added sugar and the combination of mint and lemon, this prosecco-based spritz is perfect as an apéritif or as a palate cleanser.

Design and Drinks | NY | Tribeca | Primo's Bar
From the velvet banquettes to the wood-paneled walls, Primo's Bar in Tribeca is a transporting
experience--to the Art Deco era Italian
 coastal resorts.

Sip a spritz and nosh after work on light bar bites, such as the slenderest slice of muffaletta, olives and pickled vegetables, or, from midnight on, reboot after an evening on the town with a robust plate of cacio e pepe pasta.

Every detail evokes an appreciation for the clean and crisp design, from the bar's calling cards to the mismatched terrazzo floor tiles.

Tucked away behind the lobby of The Frederick Hotel, Primo's Bar signals a return to the neighborhood's tradition of late-night hospitality for which it was known in the 1980's.
