Rotary Has a Float in the Tournament of Roses Parade!
For the 45th consecutive year, The Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee (RRPFC) has secured an entry in the Tournament of Roses, Rose Parade on Wednesday, January 1, 2025! Creating a positive image for Rotary is the responsibility of every Rotarian, both locally and globally. The Float carrying the Rotary Masterbrand is a prime example. Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick noted:
“By participating in the Tournament of Roses Parade, we have a remarkable opportunity to showcase the reach and significance of Rotary’s worldwide efforts. The float acts as a testament to the boundless possibilities that arise when Rotarians come together with a shared vision of service.”
The Float is a project of The Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee and is completely funded by generous donations from Rotarians and friends. There are several ways that clubs and members can help support the RRPFC with this unique branding and promotion of Rotary:
-
800+ Volunteer Decorators, serving more than 7000 hours, are needed to complete the project, and all Rotary members are invited to help decorate the float. Signups this year will be online at the RRPFC website starting at 8:00 am on September 7, 2024.
- General donations can be made in any amount starting as small as $25. Some clubs do give between $100 and $250 either in a one-time donation or by making two or three over the year for a total of that amount.
- Individuals and/or clubs can become Ambassadors for $500 with opportunities to promote support of other Rotarians and receive teamwear.
- Major donors who give $1,000 receive special recognition and their own team wear.
- Unique opportunities for float riders and outwalkers are available.
Any club, any Rotarian, any Rotaractor, and any friend of Rotary can help this Rotary tradition continue. Visit the RRPFC website for complete details on support options, history, newsletter subscriptions, and merchandise availability. Add your support and get ready to watch the impact of Rotary in The Rose Parade on January 1st!
